How to Delete Messages

Keeping group chats and activity feeds organized sometimes requires deleting outdated or unnecessary messages and posts. This guide explains how deletion works in Onespot — for both Group Chat messages and Activity Feed posts/comments — including who can delete them and how to manage entire chat feeds.

Who Can Delete Messages and Posts?

Only admins or moderators/editors of a specific Group Chat or Activity Feed can delete its messages, posts, and comments.

• When you're an admin (or have edit permissions for that screen), you'll see a trash icon next to messages/posts, allowing you to delete them — your own or anyone else's.
• If you don't have those permissions, you won't see the trash icon and won't be able to delete messages or posts, even your own.

To delete, you must either:

• Have the Superpowers permission (which allows you to manage/edit all screens), or
• Be assigned as a moderator/editor for that specific Group Chat or Activity Feed screen (see how to add an editor).

On an Activity Feed, this also covers deleting comments on a post, not just the post itself.

🚮 Can I Delete an Entire Chat Feed?

Currently, there is no built-in one-click way to delete an entire chat feed, but you have two simple options:

Option 1: Delete the Chat Screen

If you're sure you no longer need the chat, you can delete the entire group chat screen.

Option 2: Hide the Chat Screen

If you may need to reference the conversation later, you can hide the screen instead.
