Failed Payment Notifications

Parents automatically receive a push notification when an invoice payment fails. This includes both the initial payment attempt and any automatic retry attempts.


How it works

  • A payment attempt fails (e.g., card declined)
  • The parent immediately receives a push notification
  • If the system retries the payment and it fails again, another notification is sent
  • The notification directs the parent to update their payment method or retry payment in the app

What parents see

  • Notification title: Payment Failed
  • Message explaining the reason (e.g., card declined)
  • A link to open the invoice and take action

Why this matters

  • Parents can resolve issues right away
  • Fewer manual reminders needed from admins
  • Helps improve successful payment collection
