Can I send an invoice to a parent without an app account?

No — you cannot send an invoice to a parent who does not have an app account yet.

Why this matters

Invoices in Onespot are designed to stay connected to your school’s system. This ensures:

  • Payments are linked to the correct child in Transparent Classroom
  • Parents receive app notifications about invoices
  • Processing fees can be applied correctly

Can I send an invoice another way?

You may be able to send an invoice directly through Stripe, but we don’t recommend this because:

  • It won’t connect to the child’s record in Transparent Classroom
  • The parent won’t receive notifications in the app
  • You won’t be able to pass on processing fees
