How to Send Invoices to Parents Without Transparent Accounts
You can invoice parents or app members directly in the app, even if they haven’t set up a Transparent Classroom account. This is helpful for billing new families, one-time charges, or handling payments outside your normal tuition process.
Whether it's for registration fees, supply costs, or ad hoc payments, invoicing through the app is quick and simple.
👣 Step-by-Step Instructions
- Tap the ⚡ Lightning Bolt icon in the top-right corner of your app.
- Select "Bill Someone."
- Under App Member, search for the parent’s name and tap Continue.
- Add an item:
- You can select from an existing product or
- Tap “Add custom item” to manually enter a name and price.
- If applicable, apply a discount using the discount field.
- Tap Send Invoice.
- Tap Bill to confirm.
- You’ll see a banner at the top confirming the invoice was sent.
✅ Once sent, the parent will be notified and can pay directly in the app using their default payment method.
