Understanding “No End Date Set” on Subscriptions

What this means

If a subscription shows “No end date set” or “Ongoing”, it will continue billing automatically each cycle until it is manually canceled or updated.

There is no scheduled end date.

Where to find this

You can review flagged subscriptions here:

Admin Superpowers (⚡) → Billing - payments, invoices, subscriptions → View Upcoming Billing → Recurring Subscriptions

In this view, you’ll see a “Heads up” card similar to the example below.

  • It highlights how many subscriptions don’t have an end date set
  • Click the “View” button to quickly see the subscriptions that need to be updated

Why this matters

  • Subscriptions without an end date will continue billing indefinitely
  • They must be manually canceled or updated
  • This can lead to unintended charges if not reviewed

✅ Setting an end date ensures:

  • Billing stops at the right time
  • The final invoice aligns with the billing cycle (no proration)

How to set an end date

  1. Open a subscription
  2. Find End Date (shows as Ongoing)
  3. Click the ✏️ edit icon
  4. Select End on Date
  5. Choose a date (aligned with billing cycles)
  6. Click Confirm
