How to Add Products and Services in Onespot Payments

You can use Onespot Payments to create and manage tuition, fees, and services directly in your school app.

👣 Step-by-Step: How to Add Products and Services

  • Go to your Lightning Bolt âšˇď¸Ź > Onespot Payments
  • Navigate to Product & Services
  • Add Another (New Item)
  • Click to add a new item. Enter the product or service name (e.g., "Extended Daycare: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM")
  • Set the Price and Description
    • Example: $1,200/month
    • Include details like service dates or terms (e.g., "August 2025 – July 2026")

Need this product to bill on a repeating schedule?

Save it as-is—recurring billing is set up later from Billing → Bill Someone as a Billing Plan, not on the product itself.

(Advanced settings like shipping, quantity, customer-set pricing, and Stripe subscriptions are under "Show advanced options" if you ever need them.)

  • Save. Once saved, the item will appear in your product list and can be used in invoices or parent self-checkout.

Creating a One-Time Product

Every product is a one-time item by default—tuition, program fees, or any other product or service—and it's ready to use as soon as you save it. It can be billed once, or on a repeating schedule through a Billing Plan.

Heads up on subscriptions: Checking "This is a subscription" uses Stripe's native subscriptions, which carry an extra 0.3% fee per charge.

For most recurring billing, create the product as a one-time item and set up a Billing Plan from Billing → Bill Someone instead: no extra fee, flexible schedules, and cash/check support.

đź’ˇ Tip: To create a similar item quickly, duplicate an existing one instead of starting from scratch. See: How to Duplicate, Update, and Delete Products & Services
