Web Screens (Link a Webpage)

Web Screens let you add a link to an external webpage directly inside your app. This is helpful for linking to your school website, blog posts, forms, calendars, or any other online resource you want families or staff to access quickly.

You can set the page to open inside the app or in the phone’s external web browser.

How to Create a Web Screen

You can create a Web Screen in two different ways. Both options work the same — choose whichever is easier for you.

Option 1: Add from the Home Screen

1. From your app’s home screen, click Add New Screen.
2. Select Link a Webpage.
3. Continue to the setup steps below.

Option 2: Add from the Lightning Bolt (Admin Menu)

1. Click the ⚡ Lightning Bolt icon in the top-right corner.
2. Select New Screen.
3. Choose Link a Webpage.

Set Up the Web Screen

Once you’re on the Web Screen setup page:

1. Title - Enter the name of the screen (this is what users will see in the app).
2. Icon - Choose an icon to represent the webpage.
3. Webpage URL - Copy and paste the full URL of the webpage you want to link.
4. (Optional) Advanced Setting: Open externally in browser
   • When enabled, the link opens in the phone’s web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.).
   • When disabled, the webpage opens inside the app.

5. Click Create.

Optional: Notify Users

After creating the screen, you can send a push notification to let users know the new webpage is available in the app.

What Users See

The Web Screen appears like any other screen in the app. When tapped, it opens the linked webpage based on the settings you selected.
